Pixarpalooza

In August 2010 I accompanied designer Storm Thorgerson to his talk at Pixar Studios in Emeryville. This was part of Pixarpalooza, an event where musicians from different departments at the studio performed for their colleagues (which explains some of the crazy wigs in the audience). Immediately following the talk (and a quick tour behind the scenes of the studio) we took off for Yosemite for a three-day venture into the great outdoors. (Here are a few shots from that trip.) You can see the album covers Storm designed for the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Mars Volta, Steve Miller & Audioslave projected on the screen behind him.

Awesome. You lucky bastard!
I love all those covers.
Dude, I want to say something snarky but I just can’t do it. aargh. Nice shots, full views, concise and they have your stamp on them. I look forward to my own period of curmudgeonly genius without the genius.
Game recognizes game.
Storm Thorgerson is a legend.
Epic.
